Simpson Manor (previously known as Hospital Private Hospital) has completed a redevelopment project, which began with the goundbreaking ceremony on April 6, 2005 (). The project would be completed in two phases allowing the nursing home to remain fully operational. When completed, it fully replaced the previous building with a state of the art extended health care facility. Phase one opened December 2006 and our residents moved from the old facility into Phase one. Phase two would be a mirror image of Phase one. The project was completed in July 2008.

The facility was architecturally designed to blend in with Fort Langley's historic style and small town residential character while providing advanced complex health care and residential services. The $16-million private redevelopment project is home to 96 residents, plus space for 25 persons in the adult day care facility. The facility more than triples the floor space available, from 28,000 to 89,000 square feet. Improvements and new technologies include advanced facility air management, in-room medical oxygen supply and suction capability, ceiling lifts within resident rooms, advanced nurse call systems, telephone and television capabilities in all rooms, internet access in public areas, secured courtyards and outside spaces, secured underground parking, monitored and electronic and key-carded doors.

The Township of Langley and residents of Fort Langley were excited about this project, and now that it is complete, the building blends very well into the community. Upon completion of the project, the facility was officially renamed as Simpson Manor reflecting the new home-like style of the building.
